What is Handball?

Fast, physical, and thrilling - handball combines the best elements of basketball, football, and water polo

The Basics

An Olympic Sport Loved Worldwide

Handball is a fast-paced team sport played by two teams of seven players (six court players and one goalkeeper) on a 40m x 20m court. The objective is simple: score more goals than your opponent by throwing the ball into their net.

The game combines elements of basketball, football, and water polo, creating a unique and exciting sport that's both physically demanding and tactically sophisticated.

Handball is one of the fastest team sports in the world, with matches featuring constant action, athletic plays, and scores often exceeding 50 goals combined.
