Warrington Wolves lift Men's National Cup

Warrington Wolves beat Cambridge 33-21 to lift the men's National Cup in the final at Derby Arena.

The result sees Wolves get their hands back on the trophy they won five times in a row before 2018.

Wolves hit the blocks from the start, and led 6-1 after just 12 minutes. Playing an aggressive defence they continued to dominate and held a 15-6 advantage at half time.

The second period was a more even affair but Wolves didn't lose their tight grip on the game as they extended their lead.

Wolves' Nate Green was the top scorer in the match, hitting the back of the net 13 times in a dynamic display.

Tobias Barber and Zsolt Majoros headed the scoring charts for Cambridge with seven goals apiece.
